"Countdown to Victory" Continues

Great day on the trail yesterday!  After several days visiting supporters and speaking with hundreds of undecided voters across the state--from Bristol to Danville, and from Winchester down the Valley to Staunton, Mike attended multiple church services in Richmond before heading to a GOTV Rally in South Hill.  The response has been overwhelming -- people love the energy, the message, and our ideas.

Check out all of the great coverage from the blog.

This morning we are off to Farmville, Charlottesville, Richmond, and Arlington.   More news to come from the trail.

Southside is Signer Country!

After a great breakfast meeting in Roanoke we headed off to Bassett and picked up the endorsement of three more electeds and county chairs.  The main event in Bassett was a stop at Red Birch, America's first biodiesel truck stop.  Mike met with the owner and toured the facility.  He also talked with supporters about the campaign, and his jobs plan and his environmental plan  -- both of which address the creation of good, green jobs.  Southside Virginia can lead the way in locally producing renewable energy sources that keeps the money in our country and more specificallly in Virginia.  100% of the profit from Red Birch stays in the US and the majority of that goes into the local economy.  This is in stark contrast to Bill Bolling's, "Driil, Baby, Drill" agenda.  One more reason why Mike is the strongest candidate to take him down in November.  We are off to Danville -- they love him in Southside.

Signs of Strength in Staunton

They love Signer in Staunton.  The campaign made two stops in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley and picked up a whole lot of support.  Mike talked with voters about our environmental future, organized labor, and healthcare.  There was general agreement that Mike has the fire in the belly to defeat Bill Bolling the same way he helped Rep. Tom Perriello defeat Virgil Goode.  Mike always says, "If you squint a little bit, Bill Bolling looks a lot like Virgil Goode."  Shenandoah Dems agree.  We're off to Roanoke for the night, but a busy weekend ahead.  Stay tuned..."Countdown to Victory" Barnstorm Tour continues.

Waynesboro Visit to the "August Free Press" -- Thanks for the Endorsement!

We stopped off in Waynesboro and swung by the Augusta Free Press office.  The Free Press just endorsed Mike citing Mike as "progressive - forward-thinking in his approach to social issues, and coolly pragmatic in his approach to fiscal and management issues."  Read the whole endorsement

Mike hit the streets talking to business owners about his vision for the Commonwealth and how he will get Virginia's economy moving again.

Special thanks to Chris Graham from the Augusta Free Press for letting the staff use the office to catch up on some emails and hang out with his wonderful dog.

Harrisonburg = Jess' and Job Creation

We just had two great stops in Harrisonburg!  First, we swung by the famous Jess' Quick Lunch for a yummy bite to eat and good conversation wtih undecided voters about the future of the Commonwealth.  Folks are totally with us and we got a great response to the "Public Advocate" -- this is what happens when you have a candidate who treats voters like adults.

Next, Mike held an important press conference about unemployment and job growth in VA.  Mike was the first candidate with a jobs plan and he was also the first candidate to stand up to Bill Bolling when Republicans in the legislature sent $125 million of President Obama's money to the 49 others.

Now off to Waynesboro and Staunton.  See you out there!
